Therapeutic sessions are exempt from german VAT (MwSt) according to §4 No. 14a UStG.

Generally, sessions are billed on a self-pay basis. Psychotherapy according to HPG (Heilpraktiker Gesetz) is partially covered by private health insurance. It is helpful to clarify this with your insurance company beforehand.
All costs are subject to added tax (german VAT-MWSt) of 19%.

If the costs of coaching or supervision are covered by a company, organisation or institution, the company will receive an invoice. Only the name of the coachee/supervisee and the date of the coaching/supervision will appear on the invoice. Otherwise, the client will be billed as a self-payer.
If payment is made as a self-payer, the amount is settled after each appointment by cash or bank card (EC or credit). An invoice can still be issued on request.
